I'm in Ohio. The Republicans here are avoiding abortion for the most part and instead almost every ad I see on TV, Youtube and in the mail is focused on Sherrod Brown and how he wants "men in girls locker rooms and sports". Then it says, "Sherrod Brown is working for they/them, NOT you!" It's pretty pathetic.

Its population density is a TENTH of the UK, for instance. If you remove the uninhabitable parts and national/state/county/city parks from consideration it's literally identical.

I saw a theory about Mayor Adams that it sounds like extends to New York Dems as a whole.

Olurinatti did a video after Adams' indictment, and at one point, she said saying that Adams was a Republican who had to run as a Democrat to win.

From your description of what's going on with the NY Democratic party, it sounds like there's a lot of this going on. To get into higher office a politician needs to build a resume starting in lower offices. I think a lot of NY Republicans have realized if they want a chance to get to be a Senator, Governor, AG, etc, they have to run as Democrats. Now it's become a problem for the party at large.
