In this Bertucci watches review video, I analyze Bertucci field watches, to see if they are worth buying. The two models are the A-1S and the A-2T, but is either watch worth buying? The former is 36mm in steel, while the latter is a 40mm titanium version. Are Bertucci watches any good? Let's find out after a quick unboxing!

Ben's Watch Club tends to cover affordable watches like Seiko, Timex, Casio, Citizen, MVMT, Vincero, Bulova, Orient, Hamilton, and more. We rarely feature luxury watches like Rolex, Patek Philippe, Breitling, Tag Heuer, Tudor, Grand Seiko, Cartier, Omega, Audemars Piguet, or Hublot due to their price.

Ben, I just want to congratulate you on your content. It's pretty rare to see that level of professionalism on YouTube. Also, I noticed you seem to have changed cameras (or at least the color grading) recently. It looks so much better now!

I'm looking forward to watching this. I bought my first Bertucci field watch about a year ago and really enjoy it. It isn't perfect, but it gave me the camping feel that I was looking for when... well camping.

I've had a Bertucci since 2020 and it's great for hiking, really legible and tough. I bought mine direct from them, even with the postage it was way cheaper than buying from a UK supplier. Would agree, if they made a solar that would be a game changer

Picked mine up for $49 CAD, sale and it’s probably one of the best field watches I own. Love the single pass strap, titanium and the durability. Wait for a sale and grab one. Really can’t go wrong for the price. Made to be beaten up, solid piece. Nice review, love the channel.

I have an A2-T and liked it so much I sent one to our son in the Army. Rugged, very legible and good lume too. I changed the thick webbed strap for an elastic nylon band. Thinner and lighter…the thing is virtually weightless. The price increases are tough, Aubrey they’re getting more popular

I lost a couple of watches due to spring bar failure when mountain biking and so found Bertucci after some research. No problems since then. My A-1S has been my go-to rough use watch for almost a decade now and is still going strong. A couple of battery changes over the years and that's it. I have it on a black Eulit Perlon strap, which is very thin, very strong, and excellent for sweaty, dirty activities like mountain biking. Bertucci really is the King of rough use watches.

Bertucci is my field watch of choice for use as an actual field watch and not just a fashion statement. It's affordable so if I damage it while hiking or camping I'm not losing several hundred dollars as I would for most Hamiltons, Citizens, or Seikos in the field watch category. It was originally an Amazon impulse buy, but it became the watch I have on my wrist most of of the time I'm in the outdoors.

I did end up picking one of these up after the last review. Terrific field watch so far. Good points about having solar and sapphire glass. If those features were present I’d likely had gone for that model. It’s unfortunate that the smaller form factor is restricted to either the resin or polished steel. The steel has a really good feature set, but is awfully reflective for a functional watch. The resin is better in this regard, but I question how strong it is, especially when it comes to the lugs. It also happens to lack as much water resistance (only 50m).

TLDR I’m happy with it, and would buy another if they applied some upgrades at a reasonable price.

This Christmas, my wife who knows nothing about watches, but knows I love watches, on her own researched and gave me a Hamilton Field Mechanical under the tree. It’s incredible, and cures me of needing any more field watches ever. It’s that good. Having said that, I’ll always see your content to the end because I enjoy your work that much. Cheers.

Good review of Bertucci watches. I'm in Toronto Canada.
I recently (Dec 2022) Amazon bought a Bertucci A-3P Sportsman watch ($90 CAD, $66 USD, £53 UK) and a Casio Duro ($97 CAD, $72 USD, £57 UK). Both prices include tax/duty.
Now (April 2023) the Bertucci is ($107 CAD, $79 USD, £63 UK).
Both watches are pretty nice "beater" watches, good value watches for the money.
I prefer my Bertucci over my Duro, mainly because the Bertucci weighs less.
One thing that stands out to me is that the lume on my Bertucci is way better than on the Casio Duro.

There are a few places online you can find these field watches without the inflated prices mentioned. I think it was said in jest, but all things considered, I do think the price hikes have a lot to do with simply global inflation. I picked mine up from Long Island Watch for around $130 after a discount offered. So like most of us have expereinced before, if you wait, you can pick one of these up for a more acceptable price. As far as build and design I don't think they beat the Lorus you reviewed so long ago. I still think that is the best field watch for the money. However, the Bertucci is better than most, if not all Timex explorers, in my humble opinion. The second hand on most Timex watches are a wobbly mess and my Bertucci has a pretty sold second hand.
Great review, you certainly highlighted the best points of this watch as well as lamented on it's flaw.

Absolutely agree about solar, on a watch like this after a battery change, assuming you can get the back off, you can't guarantee is still has it's original water resistance.

I am new to 'Watch Collecting' but have found your channel REALLY good for avoiding rubbish! Thank you so much.
I have decided I must have an odd wrist 'layout' as I have always had to turn the straps around/ fit the straps with the buckle on the 'bottom'. It's the only way for watches to sit comfortably on my wrist. Unusual ????
Keep up the great work !

Fun fact:in Italian "Bertuccia" is the Barbary ape.. Keep up the great work, Ben, cheers from Italy 😊

I recently picked up a DX3 Plus and I wear it more often than I thought I would. I put an elastic strap on it (marine nationale-esk one piece) and it quickly became one of the most comfortable watches I own.

I own a Bertuchi A-2S with a green seatbelt NATO as my EDC watch but just got an A2-R with the black face as my work watch so that I have something lighter and something I am less worry about bumping around while working in the kitchen.

I am absolutely in love with Bertuchi I just wish they would offer double loop NATO straps.

April 2024. I purchased the DX3 model. I had wanted to get into solar watches, but the minimum bump up in price was $100 which pays for many battery changes. It was a pleasant surprise to learn that this watch had an estimated 4 years (not the usual two year estimate) of battery life.

After my Timex expedition scout finally stopped working (the crown fell off several times) i searched for another cheap field watch in 40mm size and it was imposible to find anything in the sub 120 usd, everything is too big or too small, so i got the A2S Field, Bertucci is the only company that give options to people in both size and materias, so kudos to Bertucci, also the screw down crown give confidence.

I've had the A2-T for a couple years now and it has been my preferred vacation watch when going to the lake or camping. Sapphire, 200m WR, titanium, long battery life and found new with a little searching for 100$ hard to beat the value for money.
