I am 38 and my skin is pretty "normal" with no dryness or particular oily areas. I do have early signs of aging like fine lines/texture, as well as some sun damage and REDNESS!
I don't use fake tan, but I get very tan naturally in the summer as I have an olive undertone so my face is often a LOT lighter than my body, because I keep my face very well protected to keep my melasma under control and signs of aging at bay!

My MOST hated makeup peeve is eyeshadow palettes where…. You’re told they are not safe for use around the eyes!!!
Like, what?! What’s is this insanity?! Why did you sell even sell eyeshadows, that you can’t use on the eye?

The over sexualized names is vile. Thank you to the makeup brands that don't do this. I have daughters that enjoy playing with my makeup and so the names need to be something my kiddos can say. This video was awesome!!

Completely agree with the over sexualized makeup product names. It's just soo unnecessary and try hard. NARS is so infamous for this with orgasm and deep throat blusher smh. Do you remember too faced had a mask called glow job my goodness smh

Omg yes! I’m a bridal makeup artist and I can’t think of anything worse then bringing out an “orgy” palette in front of my clients . I wonder if companies still do it for the shock factor because it’s not big of clever and it’s overdone

My theory about the tiny brushes is that they use them to make the palette look bigger. Similar to putting a face cream in a massive looking jar that, when you open it, has about a fifth of the amount you were expecting. Also I hate the sex name thing, it’s just cringe 😬

I knew I was going to love this post 😁. Along with your packaging pet peeves, I’d love to add that awful matte, soft touch coating on things that becomes sticky over time. It’s not even limited to cosmetic packaging. Drives me spare! Thanks for airing our shared grievances, Charlotte. I do hope some of these numpties in design get the message.

Thank you for highlighting these issues Charlotte, hoping brands take this feedback on board. Another of my personal pet peeves is heavy packaging with no travel friendly options. Don’t get me wrong, I love luxurious, heavy packaging but offer a lightweight, travel friendly option that is less likely to break and cause a huge mess or add additional unnecessary weight.

I know this is an older video and you’ll probably never see this, but I am a recent subscriber and have started going through some of your older videos. I actually love the little sponge applicators that come with high end, eyeshadows and the reason why is that I do not like to apply eyeshadow with my fingertips because I find that it creates hard pan. I use those little sponges in lieu of my finger when I want to densely apply a shimmer shadow. And I love that I can wash them and reuse them and keep my make up very clean. I know I am in the minority but I find they are just so much more precise than my finger and I never get fall out when I use them. That’s all love your channel carry-on!

I hate with a passion the packaging that has "soft touch" sprayed on it. Bite Beauty lipstick tubes had this. Urban Decay palette basic mini's have this. With time it becomes super sticky and impossible to clean. I had to throw my UD one away! And even though I loved the colors, the "soft touch" packaging is a deal breaker for me.
