I’m keeping my Xs max too for at least 2 more years. Wow thanks for the comments and thumbs up everyone. Everyone saying just replace the battery, I’ll do so depending on how much Apple charges me or if I can find a trusted third party phone repair to do it for cheaper.

I used to upgrade iPhones every year. But now I have started skipping years in between. I had the 8 plus (because I didn’t like how small the X was) and I skipped the 10S max. I upgraded to the 11 pro max from that 8 plus, and I am beyond blown away. I love this phone. I watch a ton of movies and TV on my device, so the battery not dying on me every three hours, is worth every single penny.

Great video! Thank you. I upgraded from the 8+ to the 11 Pro Max. It was well worth the upgrade. So then I gave my husband my 8+ since he was using his 6s+. Now we are both satisfied.

I’m glad everyone is becoming more patience with the releases of the iPhones now. When I was in high school I just HAD to have the newest in the game and now that I’m a little older I realize I get more value for my money and experience when I actually feel like I have used my phone to its full potential. No need to switch if my current phone still works. If it can call or text then it’s good enough.

I’m using both and sometimes I don’t notice any significant differences so people having the XS Max out there, believe me you don’t need to get the 11 Pro Max

Excellent honest review! Most reviews push the iPhone 11 Pro Max all the way. You’ve just shown that the extra camera doesn’t make that much of a difference. I did own the 11 Max Pro, but I sold it - the price doesn’t justify the incremental improvements. It just felt more like a status symbol. Got a 512GB Max for just over £600 Grade A, still a whole lot of money and like you’ve just said, the user experience is the same. 🥰

I upgraded from a XS Max to an 11 Pro Max. Mainly because I’m an Apple nerd but the new camera is spectacular. As someone who takes a lot of photos it’s definitely nice to have the ultra wide angle and night mode. Can’t wait to see what Apple does later this year with their new phones.

Great review! I just upgraded from the XS Max to the Pro Max and I’ve got 0 regrets!

I got the XS Max at launch last year and oh man! I loved it! But over time, the phone could not hold a charge. It has a 97% battery health, but would be at 60-50% by the end of the day with light usage, ie: responding to text messages and internet browsing. I was constantly on a charger, which was very inconvenient for me.

The camera was also spotty, at least for me. The stock camera app was incredible, I could never complain about that. But once opening up an app, like Instagram and especially snapchat, the camera/video features started to become distorted and blurred. It got to a point where I was just using my stock camera app for everything and just uploading the photos/videos after the fact. Kind of rendered the apps I wanted to use pointless.

The camera and extended battery life alone were convincing enough to make me switch with no hesitation. I’m looking forward to seeing what this phone can do.

Some people are still using the 5s, it was released in 2013. Since then smartphones changed drastically, but it still holds up.
From that point of view, the xs max really could at hold up for 8more years.
