This dude reminds me of people who see a storm forming in the Caribbean, and decide to go on a vacation in Mexico.

The drivers with no chains? Who doesn't have chains for a winter Sierra crossing?

So, how many people cleaned the INSIDE of their car windows this fall before winter? This is one of the MANY things drivers have to do to prep for winter driving. Clean windows don't fog up as easily; and if/when they do, they clear quickly. Clean windows allow you to SEE in inclement weather. Clean windows may save someone's life. Clean windows may save YOUR life!

Did you replace your wiper blades? Tip: 90% Isopropyl alcohol will do a LOT to clean & renew older blades. Have it on hand so you can have functional wipers before you replace.

Also, TURN ON YOUR GODDAMNED HEADLIGHTS WHEN IT'S PRECIPITATING!!! Yes, during the day, too! Especially YOU in your silver or grey cars!!!! You're INVISIBLE during a rain storm with your lights off!

Replace old tires in AUGUST, not FEBRUARY!!!

But instead, drivers blow all this stuff off. Driving with old, underinflated tires, no chains, no winter prep. Then, when drivers crash, they exclaim, "I couldn't see anything! It came out of NOWHERE! I couldn't stop!" and any manner of other bullshit excuses. All manner of "Oh poor ME!" when disaster strikes. It's NICE to think it's out of your control, but it IS NOT! Prep your vehicles for winter driving. Then drive responsibly! Take responsibility so you can survive your next winter drive!

Do people not check the weather forecasts before traveling? Or at least carry chains, food and water, blankets, etc.? It’s also dangerous to keep a car engine running in deep snow, you could asphyxiate the whole family, if the tailpipe gets covered. Take a fat, multi-wick candle in a metal paint can, and matches/pot holders, this “heater” can keep people in a car warm enough to survive a blizzard, with just a window cracked without risking asphyxiation, or if you run out of gas to run the car engine.

The say is shut. It was made by those who are dead. And the dead, keep it.

This is worse than 2019 storm during presidents holiday weekend. I was stuck in that storm for 17 hours from the Bay Area to south lake.
