I like what they have done here, with the style and theming. As an owner at Bay Lake Tower, I have heard a common critique that the Studio kitchenette is a "waste of space" and that the wall should be removed to open it up and create more space. Until now, I have disagreed but seeing the Studio portion here has changed my mind. I, also, like the addition of the dishwasher in the Studio (real plates, yay!) and hope for the same for BLT during the refurb.

Have to say, probably the most theming and personality I've seen in the new DVC rooms. They're usually fairly sterile and corporate, but here I can see some thought and work went into the design. Quite beautiful. A bit more color would be nice... Maybe a runner on the bed or a colored sheet? Seriously hard to beat that view across Seven Seas Lagoon...

I think these rooms may be the most beautifully themed on property!

I like the look of the slide-in range, having one myself. But now with a toddler (and likely thousands of them in these rooms), the accessible controls are turning to be somewhat stressful...

Hi thank you for doing the video. That looks like a possible lock off. Do you know what the dedicated two bedrooms might look like? Again thank you for a visual for all to see.

In the studio footage, it looks like the kitchenette is right next to the Murphy bed...which may make mornings challenging for a late sleeper...

Will the tower have it's own road entrance?

Can't wait to book my first tower stay!

Love the design, but they look a bit in the small side when compared to Riviera. Granted that could just be how they were filmed.

The thumbnail looks a lot like The Contemporary. Curved sofa, small tallish oval table. Throw a Frozone and Edna in there and and you wouldn't know the difference.

DVCFan - you missed a step in your QA/QC. The edit is messed up - this video repeats itself and skips content/transitions between styles. Love these rooms from what I can see!

They've done a great job with all the Ikea furnishings!

They have mastered the cheap bland boring plain and generic look in EVERY hotel room… instead of incredibles stickers you get some sea turtles… like how in the new Reflections tower you’ll get THIS exactly except instead of sea turtles you’ll get pine cones. Interiors by IKEA or a modern motor home builder

Looks functional, clean and modern, but it does not look like a Polynesian resort. Very little Polynesian theming. Very little Disney theming. May as well be a Marriot.

The rooms are beautiful, and, if you are inside your room, you don't have to look at the heinous outside that ruins the whole ambiance of the Poly. The monorail line at the Poly was already a huge issue - now with all the new rooms, I hope they have planned somehow for the influx of 2x the guests. And, so much for ever getting into Trader Sam's. Just a horrible idea all around to build this monstrosity.

Was there a sale on beige? Boring looking. I'm surprised the room was fairly bland. I don't want neon colors but sterility is for hospital rooms.

Welcome to the Marriott at Disney. Generic conference center themed rooms with no sense of imagination or anything to do with south seas experience.

This is probably one of the worst executed themed buildings in Disney World, inside and out. It’s such an eyesore in the skyline between the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian.

Im sorry but this is more boring architecture and interior design from a company who cares nothing about attention to detail, theming, and/or immersion into a space. The Polynesian Resort is based off of South Seas Style architecture, which consists of long houses, and tiki/dark wood and dark colors in design and architecture. Everything in these rooms is easily spotted as fake, because all of the wood grain patterns are too perfect. Natural wood designs carry a lot of inconsistencies that make each piece unique. These rooms look like something you would find in a nice Hilton. If Disney wanted to add more DVC rooms, they should have studied the original designs of the Polynesian and there was originally supposed to be a tower instead of long houses. They could have built a octagonal tower to match the architecture of the buildings around it and placed the Luau dinner show in the center, complete with a replica of the old waterfall that used to be in the original lobby.
