Transfer from Physical SIM to eSIM During Setup:
1. During the setup process of your new iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Pro, your new iPhone will ask you if you want to transfer your phone number NOW or to set up LATER in settings
2. Tap "Transfer from another iPhone"
3. A popup will appear. Tap "Transfer Number"
4. On your old iPhone, confirm the number transfer by double-clicking the power button
5. Your phone number will transfer from the physical SIM on your old phone to the eSIM on your new iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Pro.

NOTE: Once the transfer is complete your old iPhone will no longer be able to connect to the network or make and receive phone calls from the physical SIM card.

Transfer Physical SIM to eSIM AFTER Setup:
1. On your new iPhone, go to Settings, Cellular, and tap "Add eSIM"
2. Select the phone number you would like to transfer
3. Confirm the transfer on your old iPhone

I’m so glad that I didn’t have any trouble going from my 13pm to my new 14pm with the eSIM thing. It did get stuck for a while when it finished transferring but once I got past that it was fine.

That was super helpful Stetson! I’m satisfied with my 6 month old I Phone 13 Pro Max. So I will keep this one since it’s paid off and unlocked. I am curious how many esims can be added to my current phone. Maybe someone can answer that for me. I sure appreciate you and your channel! Mark in Iowa.

Hey Stetson, would you be able to do a video going in the opposite direction? I like swapping back to my old phone when i need a hotspot to not kill the battery on my current one. If i swap to the new iPhone i would want to go from eSim to sim a lot.

Thanks for the vid question, what if your phone stops working or you damage it? At least with a physical Sim card you can take it out and put it in another phone and still make phone calls. Is there some type a mechanism where you can transfer the eSims to another phone in the event that the eSims phone stops working?
