Metal Detecting in the Netherlands! Finding some Silver Coins!
Показать описание
In this months episode you can see me find a nice handful of silver coins! I start my adventure searching for the lost city of Sier on the Dutch Island of Ameland. Sier was taken by the sea about 300 years ago. I try to find some coins or relics on the beach of the Island. Later I move inland to search on the normal fields there. On the meadows around an old village over there I found coins from all over the world! I found a 18th Century copper coin from Spain, a silver coin from the Austrian Netherlands and even a coin from the colonial period of the Netherlands; Nederlands Indië! I also found a 19th Century silver dime from emperor Wilhelmina, and a 17th Century Silver coin from the Dutch city of Kampen.
Later back home, I started of with a broken Small long Brooch from the Anglo Saxon period. Moments later I found a silver medieval coin, it was bend unfortunately. But at home I managed to straighten the coin again! And as it turned out to be, it is a very coin from Stavoren. Koenraad van Swaben, 11th Century. And Then I found another silver dime, but this time it was from emperor Willem II, 1849. And the final find was a 17th Century Silver Stuiver from Groningen and Ommelanden.
I had a pretty good month! For those of you who don't already know me, my name is Mark.I live and metal detect in the Northern part of the Netherlands.
I try to find Roman and Medieval coins and relics with my Minelab Manticore metal detector! I try to make a video each month!
Thanks for watching! 😎👍🍀
