When creating emergency response software, a critical part of our design process is customer feedback. Turning ideas into capabilities. Together, we partner with key customers to build an integrated command and control platform with intuitive voice and data, minimizing response time and maximizing the minute.

When a call comes into 911 we immediately ask for the address. We go through our ProQA system to ask scripted questions to get answers and determine the best response that gets sent to one of our responders. A map is amazing; it allows us to see extreme detail of the scene.

The use of mobile data computers, you know, in the past we were happy just to get computers in our radio rooms and dispatch areas. Now, they're in the fire trucks. And, you know, having those capabilities in the trucks for the officers is an amazing resource. Our officers are able to get information on the business or the home that we're responding to. Things like mapping, fire hydrant locations, those types of things are very helpful to our firefighters and fire officers in the apparatus.

There's a number of values and benefits that we've had with the addition of the new P1 CAD from the CAD that we were previously on. Lieutenant Padilla does a lot of the background work on provisioning which is probably one of the key components that make this CAD such a state of the art device.

With the provisioning that I can do, I am able to manipulate the FSA along with the CAD at the same time with just the click of a button. Because everything is web based, I can do it from any computer that I have that's connected to the server within the P1 CAD and the FSA, so it makes things very easy to do on the fly.

We worked with Motorola to come up with a solution that would allow us to move away from specific hardware, so we weren't tied to one vendor, and be able to make our system hardware agnostic. The only way that we could really accomplish that was through virtualization of our PremierOne CAD system. In our case, we were able to maintain full redundancy by buying two physical servers and then distributing virtual servers on each of those.

02:15
Motorola is a partner with us. We look to Motorola for the solutions that we have. From the radio system to our facilities, the records management system for all public safety, to computer aided dispatch system which is the core of all public safety.

02:32
When your life depends on equipment, you want the best you can afford to put in your hands. So, my impression of Motorola before was that they have a great reputation for good equipment. They're the standard for law enforcement and first responder equipment. My impression after the deployment is even better. Their team that came in for planning, their team that came in for installation, and their go-live team were all outstanding, and the follow up since has just been above reproach.

More first responders and 911 centers trust and rely on Motorola solutions than any other company. Our software and design teams understand dispatch, and first responder workflows, and integrate that knowledge into the blueprint of all of our systems.
