This song, spesially song by Nancy, was absolute the all time favorite of a real close friend of mine. 'Though he was a real "Genesis guy" he ever admited that Nance had a beautiful voice and the he simply fell in love with

Hi Cobus, Thanks for posting Nancy Boyd's songs. In the USA, you can sometimes find news about a person on the internet like where they live, but not sure about Belgium. These Youtube videos kind of immortalize Nancy and the Capellos . When you think about it, she and the Capellos are in their late 50s now. Maybe even Grandparents. Anyway ... she and the Capellos were terrific and I enjoy listening to their upbeat tempo. Makes mountain biking more enjoyable. Thanks again.

I've always liked this song. A Lover's Concerto is Bach's Minuet in G with words. The Toys originally sang this in 1965 or so.

Perfect version of this 60s classic song. Well produced in the 80s. I like the voice of Nancy and the harmony at the end with backing vocals of famous dutch backing singer Jody Pijper.

I'd never heard of this singer, either, so I looked her up. Nancy Boyd is the stage name of a Belgian singer whose real name is Nancy Bruinooge. She had some success in the late 1980s and early 1990s working with the Dutch record label BR Music and is principally known for her cover versions of popular songs. On this one she was backed by her group The Capello's and released this as a single in 1987 (Dutch record company BR Music, 45 RPM single Catalogue #: 56037). It was also on a CD and an LP album titled "Let's Hang On", also released in 1987 (BR Music catalogue #: BRLP 96, track 12 on the CD and Side 2, track 06 on the LP)
I don't know if it ever charted, but it should have. I've heard many covers of this song, but was unfamiliar with this one, so I had to listen and I was impressed. It Rocks. She took some liberty with the lyrics in a couple of places, but I don't care. She hit it out of the park with this one (my opinion). Personally, I think this record should be resurrected and she and BR Music (if they still exist) should re-release it today, because it blows the doors off of 95% of the work being released by current artists and played on the radio stations today. With the faster tempo and more defined beat, she might just have a hit with it today, especially if it was released internationally and pushed by some top radio stations (once again, my opinion).
