This BRAND NEW Hamilton Jazzmaster Performer Looks VERY Familiar!
The H36606130 Jazzmaster Performer Chronograph 42mm Watch | Black Dial Is a lovely looking watch But I can't help but think that this time Hamilton didn't use inspiration from their own back catalogue of watches?????

I broke the crown guard off my Vintage khaki. Sent it to Hamilton and they got back to me saying they Didn’t have parts for my watch and offered me a big discount on a new watch. I explained it was a gift from a good friend and very sentimental. I eventually got directed to the VP who told me he would personally look into having parts made specifically for my watch. New crystal, Mid case, crown and crow guard for like 130$

I’ve said it once, I’m saying it again. You Sir are “The Benny Hill Show” of Watches!!! Love your show!

I agree with everything you said but didn't back in the day Rolex with daytona also copied Speedy.Everyone forgets that in the 50's Rolex was just the cheaper version of technically way more advanced and more expensive
Omega watches!!

The pace at which you are churning out good content is mighty impressive. Another great one in the books. Thanks as always for providing an awesome space for light hearted but informative content.

Awesome show as always MWC 👏👏👏👏

This is a great looking watch but the dimensions mean it’s only really one for the big wristed. The Daytona influence doesn’t bother me and I could almost live with the date window but what kills it for me is that date pusher at 10 o’clock. Surely you’re better off just leaving the date window out entirely at that point? It’s not like there would be a ghost position on the crown. I know lots of people really like having the date on a watch but this takes shoehorning to a whole new level 😂

It seems like all budget Swiss mechanical chronographs made today suffer from being just a bit too big! I keep looking at Sellita SW500 loaded watches which is based on a Valjoux 7750 and there’s just no getting around the beefed up size. Really thick, broad diameter and long lug to lug. It makes the bespoke movements in the Daytona and high end chronograph movements in something like a Patek Philippe all the more impressive as they can cram all of that into such a relatively compact case.

Thanks for the review, detailed and to the point as always.

I'm wearing the Longines Bigeye on a short Collareb Venezia strap that's 3.4mm thick, which makes the watch look/wear a little smaller because the thick strap extends more past the wrist. I suspect that this Hamilton watch would look better on a small wrist when paired with a strap like that, the bracelet does not do this watch any favors. The Bigeye has a movement that's an upgraded version of the Valjoux 7753 as well, but manages to be a bit smaller and thinner, and has shorter lugs and a domed crystal, which all helps.

For me the Intramatic was not an option, I actually use the chronograph complication and I wanted a 12 hour totalizer to time longer events.

You'd think they would have used a small pusher button for the date change. Needing a tool is ridiculous. Well done as always!

The character from "Labyrinth" is Ludo. Fun fact: one of the two performers that worked him was sculptor Ron Mueck! (Well, I thought it was interesting.)

I don’t even watch for the watches anymore. MWC is mad entertaining… 😂😂😂

So good

I agree with the date window on all watches. I never change the date on my mechanical watches only to have to change the date again when they have not been worn for a while!

The purist in me wants a mechanical chronograph like this, but the realist says it's too chunky and too expensive to ever find its way into my collection. (And like you said, update the Khaki to better than a 50 meter depth rating!)

Another entertaining and honest review. I was really excited by this watch when I saw it online. But I didn't realise its flaws. Well too big and that petrol can thing is hilarious, such a shame.

Big bulky watch with the bracelet, but I recently bougt the blue version with the leather strap and it wears wonderfully on my medium size wrist. The blue one also doesn't look that much like the Daytona (if that would even bother you)

20 years from now, the one with the little nubbin, could be the rare one that everyone is looking for, because they only made it for one year

Love Hamilton with their quality build (I have two of their Khaki Field)
Also appreciate their H-10 movement with their 80 hrs PR 😁👍🏻
Thanks for sharing this one … even if it was an “inspired” piece 😅

Great vid.... proportions on this are all oved the shop imo. The Pagani Daytona Homage at under 70 quid is hugely better looking and with a seiko moduled movement. THE ETA 7753 is a great engine, but if you're gonna charge way over the odds, at least pretty it up a bit for the back window. Its a no from me.

Great review and I'm 100% with you its too large, too expensive and the least said about the date adjustment the better.

For the same look and function, you'll be better off with the Seiko Spirit SBTR021 (black) or SBTR019 (blue).

Very similar in build to the Tissot PRX Chrono.. Including the date position / changer, it also has the H31 which is around 800 quid cheaper...
