Deepin v20 Beta | First Look

This is my first look at the beta version of Deepin v20. #Deepin is a #Linux distribution that implements a very attractive design that is built on top of Debian. I will be giving Deepin v20 a full review when it comes out of beta and gets an official release. I had one or two crashes while recording this video but overall it was a fairly smooth run though.

Because in deepin v15 so easy. Klick right and open with administrator.

I believe you need to change mirror location in the app store menu to get it loading faster, atleast this what you needed to do on the deepin 15 releases, its default mirrors are china

when i try to use two screen, it works but on my primary screen, if i move a window or minimize, it will disappear...

Aww.. the rounded corners aren't consistent with the GTK apps... I know it's not that crucial but... it's gonna drive me nuts on long term...

Some issues face by me are-
1)Takes very much time to check & download updates
2)wifi works very slow, it is only fast for chromium browser
3)I was unable to use deepon cloud even after signing up..Not available in my region (India).
4)App store doesn't works properly
5)previously I had problem with double click manner and scrolling..So I changed setting to natural scrolling and decreased the double click speed.

..But it is yet to be explored🤞😋

Bro I need your help, I recently install deepin beta version but I can't play video because deepin movie player not working. I Also try to install VLC player but it is not installing and give an error "failed to install unmet dependencies".

Great video bro, thanks. On this O.S one works the Nvidia Drivers? I have an RTX 2070 and in other versions of Deepin i could'nt install the Nvidia Drivers :(

I know it's personal, but am I the only one who does not like the look? I mean it's very simple, everything is big (buttons, fonts, dialogs, ...) even on my 110ppi screen and all the rounded corners and transparency effects are interesting for roughly five minutes. Ubuntu DDE looks better imho. I like when everything looks subtle and when things do not occupy whole screen. Like sound effects settings at 9:31. It's pretty extreme. I can understand it on phone, but why to waste 24 inch screen with it?

The new control center is a major step back from the old one. The previous slide out CC was so easy to use to quickly change any setting without leaving the currently used app. I'm very disappointed by this change.

still the same problems, inconsistent theming, file manager forces you to mount some partitons (and even wants to remount already mounted ones) question is WHY? changing themes will not move the checkmark to the theme you want. occasional random freeze. movie manager forces adding all supported files in directory, even if you manually select Add File only or drag just one file. Movie player does not save usuable for multi-audo and subtiitles files especially for tv series since it does not save those settings so you keep re-selecting prefered audio and subtitles. Majority of its built-in applications there are others that performs better.

Been really enjoying your videos, keep it up! I had a look at deepin a few years ago. I loved the look & feel and UX, but the main turn off for me was the slowness of the repositories (which obviously affects the app store as well). I was hoping they would have fixed this by now, but I guess not.
