Hello again, Miss Harbridge. I had to listen to this one a couple of times through and then I read Psalms 91 before I wrote this.
You have done splendidly on this piece! There is an undercurrent of hope that you can hear in the beginning that steadily grows stronger and swells into a powerful crescendo of praise in this song. It has that hint of sorrow that gives way to joy as the melody rises into that hope filled crescendo of praise that is so encouraging to hear!
This song speaks to the one who is looking at the storms that rage roundabout them and in their heart they feel sorrow and despair. But, God! But, God! He comes in and reminds this one, and says, “My name is your strength, your shield, your portion! Your strong tower, your shelter!” This song says in notes profound what the scripture says in words! It uplifts and encourages!
And I thank you for that.
It is a timely gift that you have given, and I know the Lord will bless you for it. I have no doubt that you continue to make Him smile. Have a blessed day.
