Champion of the Earth 2019 - Fridays for Future

The 2019 Champion of the Earth for Inspiration and Action goes to Fridays for Future.

Fridays For Future is a movement that began in August 2018, after then 15 years old Greta Thunberg sat in front of the Swedish parliament every schoolday for three weeks, to protest against the lack of action on the climate crisis. She posted what she was doing on Instagram and Twitter and it soon went viral.

On the 8th of September, Greta decided to continue striking every Friday until the Swedish policies provided a safe pathway well under 2-degree C, i.e. in line with the Paris agreement.

It will not be long before she will learn how to stop her. If their followers know for themselves that money is no longer enough for life, the haunt is over quickly. If the demonstrated students can no longer fly on holiday with their parents because they are unemployed because of climate terrorism, everything will change again.

Individuals, politicians and corporations all need to do more to protect the planet.
Fossil fuels are a risk that the world should not take.
Wind and solar energy are safer, cleaner and cheaper than fossil fuels or nuclear energy.
Don't let the oil and coal companies decide our future.

the New York Lee Strasberg Institute. How can she go wrong?

this is not special - it is a repeat !!!! ok, it's a kid... big deal....on earth, once five or ten years, or more years later, we'll have a supposedly leader and the phase of all this complain will fade, once again, and the next figure head will come and do the same charitable but at points feeble attempt....if more than hundreds of teens around the world were willing to present issue together, it may, only, may, slowly change...greta will be forgotten and everyone will go back to their daily routine, until we will be repeatedly reminded again from another kid from another culture doing the same thing, years down the road, all over repeat, repeat, repeat....
