Fantastic and comprehensive PSA! You guys managed to do what few vendors are: make a reference video in which you also advertise your own products without being annoying salesmen. Instead of feeling like the video was made to sell products first, inform potential swappers/customers second or worse; it was 100% the other way around. Cheers and thanks, PBH!

I have a 66 falcon that im building and had originally decided to go, LS, yes i was going to be an LS bro, I love fords but cant beat how the LS can make power in a small package. Ive since changed direction and scored a coyote 5.0. I am currently trimming the shock towers and adding bracing. I made a mock up motor out of thin wood panels. I am able to get 2 inches of clearance on both sides of the valve cover corners and widens back up from there down leaving plenty of room for headers. Have not gotten to the steering column yet. Baby steps.

This is perfect. I was doing some research on how difficult it would be to Coyote swap my 01 mustang and saw this video. To the point instructions on what is needed and goes through most of the build. Thanks guys.

The 4wd 6r80 has a slip yoke for those of you who want to swap one into your older trucks. I swapped a 6r80 into my 07 f150 fx4 and it took some modification but its in and driving. Next up is the 5.4 swap to the 5.0 coyote 😊

Definitely good info. My son and I are about to start ordering all the goodies to start building a 23T Bucket kit from Speedway Motors; and so we have something totally different from what you see in the majority of those cars, do a coyote swap. I have a 2013 Ford F150 that may wind up being the donor or we are going to sell it and buy a newer Mustang Coyote and trans out of a wrecking yard with the ECM and wiring harness. The way it looks after watching this video we will mainly need a set of custom made roadster headers. Thanks for what you do!

I plan on dropping a Gen 1 into my 1998 GT, would love to keep my 4r70w instead of having to buy a new transmission. People say LS swaps are cheap but you can easily find a Gen 1 in good shape for less than $4500 and I’m up here in Jacksonville where car parts within a 100 mile radius don’t last long, North Florida has their share of car enthusiasts 😂

Factory parts oem, this guy hit it right, folks wonder why shit don’t work right well one reason it needs factory oem or motor craft stuff to get the performance out of these vehicles. Good video here.

Good job on explaining different areas of concern, swapping to early cars. Hoping to do a Coyote Whipple or equiv in 64 Comet which has a FE in it now. Also, upgrading front susp with Mustang SN95 tubular front clip for ease of parts. You'll be hearing from me. Thanks again.

Btw, it's not a veritable runner intake, it's a charge motion control valve. It's basically a flap near the intake port that acts a little like a venturi in a carburetor. The idea being to enhance the air charge velocity at low engine speeds to improve combustion and then open the valve at higher engine speed to remove restriction.
For an engine swap you can pin the valve open if it's not running an oem ecu and it acts like a normal intake.
