I attended a Police puppy training class a few years ago teaching how to get desired actions while training. It was a major dog trainer and the first two days we trained chickens to do learned responses and tricks for treats. You would be amazed how much you can train chicken to do

I had several hens before getting a rooster. They tortured him unmercilessly while a juvenile but he did take control once he matured. He now herds, monitors, protects, and leads. He did run at me several times and i nudged him away firnly with my leg. We now get along fine.

Roosters are more protective than they are mean. They will defend their womens if they see you as a threat. I've learned never to crow back at my roosters. They will see you as a competing rooster. Chickens are AWESOME and I really enjoy your videos. Thank you! ❤

Maybe my chickens are just crazy but I have one hen that insisted on allowing another to sit on her head at night, at first I thought it was a one-off thing. Well it’s been months and I am shocked she didn’t poop on her head

I have a hen that stays in the nesting area. She is not on any eggs and if she does lay one, I remove it and I pick her up and put her in the area with the rest of the chickens. Is this normal and if not, what can I do?
