Why I love the Crosley Cruiser Turntable

In recent years there has been much talk of the Crosley Portable Turntables.

I've seen people who devalue Crosley so much that it's not fair at all.
And let's get this straight. Crosley is not a turntable. Crosley is more of a toy that reproduces music from vinyl records and as such must be treated.

Great video! My Crosley is due to be delivered tomorrow and I was getting very worried due to all the negative reviews. I am 19 and this will be my first record player, I just want something fun and easy to play my records on. Thank you for the info!

I have the Crosley Cruiser Plus and a Pioneer stereo component system with a turntable. I got the Crosley since it's more portable and I can take it into the dining area near the kitchen whenever I need to cook. I love it. I don't think it ruins records. I have had records since the 60's and back then I had kid's record players. I still have those records and they play fine. Records are designed to handle heavier downforce so I think it's fine.

Thank you for this video! I was looking for an alternative to buy for my children to get into vinyl, you're totally right, we used to play vinyls in cheap players and we enjoyed it! that's why i'm gonna buy a crosley, for me this is a toy but for the children will be a great source of memories!

I'm 15, and my girlfriend's grandmother is buying me a crosley cruiser so I can start a vinyl collection. I know that if I ever want to get serious about vinyl that I should definitely invest in a more sophisticated setup, but I'm glad to see that it's at least decent for bare beginners.

I bought a suitcase player because i wanted to hear the pops and the scratches. Its more of a nostalgia and i listen to old music. I can always listen to the new ones with my cds.

Good video! I need a small system for downstairs (wife work upstairs) that is quality, yet not too loud (even if I love it loud!). I have hundreds of albums from the 70's & 80's and want to play them. I'm torn between getting a higher system or trying to find a Crosley-Victrola at a decent price just to hear for myself how they actually sound.

Because let’s face it. That statement is so untrue. Yeah, the Cruiser doesn’t have the best audio quality, but it is not the worst either.

Actually, my Crosley Cruiser is great for me as a 2nd turntable record player used in another room. My Pioneer turntable is my good home stereo unit. But my Crosley sounds great because I installed the highest grade needle that Crosley offers. Plus, I plug in my high quality Harman Kardon computer speakers in the headphone jack and my Crosley record player sounds great with the computer speakers turned up!

Instead of using two dinky speakers they should have used one larger speaker and made it a mono record player. Those speakers aren't far enough apart to give a true stereo experience. You really need at least four feet of seperation.

By general description the Cruiser is a turntable and a record player depending how you look at it. It fits nicely with my Technics TTs. A turntable is a platter that spins and the Cruiser has this. I love my Crosley.

I have an Audio Technica LP60 record player and I love it because it's automatic and it does the work where all I have to do is press the start button and it automatically moves the tonearm to the first song on the record player

It's certainly alright for someone who wants to at least give vinyl a try. You can always upgrade later if you decide that vinyl LP is a path you want to continue. I use the $30. VIBE SOUND. And I promise you that it has NOT ruined any of my records. Trust me! I have a copy of SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER (1977) on vinyl LP. And it is still working perfectly!
