A sermon delivered by C.H. Spurgeon, Lord's Day Evening, May 8, 1887

Spurgeon, with the bright torch of the Word of God, seeks to search out every sin which impedes a sinner from being saved. It is a powerful word to those who mistakenly think that a life of hypocrisy might be a prelude to heaven.

Praise God, the most high, truly it's a blessing to have access to such sermons from servants of God past and present that delivered along with the continuing to do so in this present age, indeed but man is faulty not knowing and understanding God's nature entirely as well as His full characteristics, yeah something one will never accomplish in ones lifetime, believers are to believe the saints who preach and teach the true gospel but it's the holy spirit that teaches the righteousness of God, indeed pray for God's knowledge and not that of man's own knowledge and theology, yeah the true gospel is what's essential to man's spiritual growth, Calvinism is not of great importance if one is not a Calvinist, one should not allow oneself to become consumed by such a worldly element of man's theology, for the true gospel is important that's why one should read daily and pray for truth. God bless . Thanks for such beautiful sermons fallen man needs them .

Then, the conclusion is, the Holy Ghost has no convicting power over them.
Does this mean the congregation, itself, needs to be revived. ?
Or, are the ones who are unaffected, eternally unaffected?

The power of The Holy Spirit is overwhelming, and complelling.

What happened to my comment?
I said nothing wrong that should result in this removal.
Anyway, I basically said the church needs this sermon, and the world needs it.
I said that Spurgeon has a simple message, but one that cuts between you and sin.
Maybe it was the "s" word or the fact that I said the world needs it.
They're reaching deep into the church now with these actions. It's to be expected, but they are removing our ability to share the gospel here.. 🥺
I just found the cause.. They are being "hidden" and not shown as a reply, so no one knows it's there. :/

I'm at a loss why Saul of Tarsus prayed for three days but it took Ananias being sent by the Lord with instructions of what Saul was to do. Spurgeon missed the whole point of Isaiah 59:1-2. No sinner's prayer in the Bible.

God was speaking to Israel under the covenant of Moses. We are now under the New Covenant. Christ died for the sins of the whole world. Spurgeon did not believe that. He was a Calvinist.
