In this video, I'm reacting to even more TikToks of people in crazy amounts of credit card debt. Make sure you watch the entire video because I cover a credit card strategy that can help you save thousands in interest. Plus, there's a pretty cool inspirational story at the end. 😃

Looking back at all the shit I bought on credit, all of it has depreciated in value after 3-6 months. Delayed gratification is tough to learn but so useful to stay stress free.

I think you're less likely to fall into this trap if you're smoking a lot of weed. it means you don't care about keeping up with people and don't have the motivation to go shopping, unless it's for snacks

Why are they always laughing? gives off the same energy as the videos of drunks running over people and acting like it’s no big deal

I have no credit card debt. I'm hoping to have my mortgage paid off sometime in March 2024.

After HS. Credit cards start coming in. Got one and promise not to use it unless an emergency came up. Well got into debit. 14 credit cards around $27, 000 in debit. As soon I got a monthly payment that total of $400. I knew I couldn't keep up, so I torn every single credit card. Didn't even save one for emergencies. Pay the debt off at age 36 I was totally out of debt. Never went in debt ever again. Bought a house at age 56 and was able to pay cash for it. So I stay out of debt. Even pay cash for all my used cars. When never own a credit card or even get a loan ever. I'm 60 now and being out a debt is totally freedom.

I started my first 'proper' job 15 months ago (UK Civil Servant EO grade). The week after my first monthly salary was paid my bank sent me an email offering me a £2000 credit card. I smiled and deleted the email. Now I have thousands of pounds in a high interest savings account and actually moving into a cheaper place next month. I'm a winner! Thank you Caleb, Dave Ramsey all you guys!

I don’t use debit cards because I don’t want to be inconvenienced for a period of time when someone steals MY money. If someone fraudulently uses my credit card, the creditor will begin an investigation and credit my account immediately. Also, I don’t pay interest and pay off my transactions as fast as i make them while earning cash rewards and/or points.

I'm in debt for the first time in my life right now. I owe $13k to Capital One Venture X card (out of a total $15k limit). I needed every kind of dental procedure imaginable, but new tooth implants are the bulk of what I spent the money on. My total bill was $42k. I hate being in debt, but I needed to do this. I got the procedure done in November, and I couldn't put a big dent in the balance this month because of Christmas (gifts, travel, hotel), but I knew how the timing would work out when I scheduled my dental work. I will be able to pay down $2-3k per month starting in January. I will do everything I can to avoid being in debt again in the future. I can't understand the people who just live their lives with mountains of debt. It blows my mind.

1:00 I honestly think she could have saved some money smoking some outdoor shwag so she wouldn't worry about "keeping up with the Jones."

Anyone who takes financial advice from a 20 something Tik Tok “influencer” would take marriage advice from someone who is 3 times divorced. I take advice from people who are WINNING at what they give advice on.

I think the credit card debt you have is related to how much you earn. If you owe 10k in credit card debt but are on a 50k salary, that might be a problem. I know some folks who make around 500k/yr and they'll have 80k in credit card debt but pay it back within months. Its all about beign able to afford to pay back what you owe, fully.

CCs are tools for larger purchases and emergencies. Clothes for situatuonships lol. That’s so irresponsible. Pay the. Off. Keep the balances low or at zero without closing them. Good life choices!

Make more videos! I have 44k in credit card debt but I didn’t blow it on stupid stuff. I had some big life changes and just got behind. I had 2 surgeries, bought a home, got married, and had a baby. It was just too much at once and now I’m paying for it. I was always really good with my credit cards and credit score, but life really kicked me. Now I’m clawing my way back out of the hole. I moved all my cards to 0% balance transfers with the help of my mom cuz unfortunately the banks didn’t want to help me. I was paying $1500 in interest every month and amex wouldn’t give me financial hardship relief because I’ve never missed a payment. Crazy how I’ve never missed a payment but they jacked my APR from 21% to 29.99%🤬 anyways I enjoy watching the videos and it keeps me motivated to get back to being debt free, so thank you

Nah, the snowball method is the correct one. Going after the highest interest debt isn't right unless it's the smallest debt. You need to think of how long you'll be in debt. The high interest won't be too meaningful if you're set to pay everything off as fast as you can.
