Stiil 110+ degrees here in AZ, too hot to be in the garage working on the boat build so I will binge watch this series. Thanks for sharing.

Noticed your foster parent shirt. Thanks for stepping up! I hope it was rewarding for you!

Man, you gotta to be so precise at every single step! I don't think I could manage it. The slightest mistake will eventually compound and throw the whole thing off. And you wouldn't even know it until you are finished.

Nick, I always wondered how you solved some of the building problems. That was fun to watch.

I always so enjoy watching your videos. In nearly 50 years of avid kayaking, this is quite probably the most elegant kayak I have ever seen. Your craftsmanship, attention to details, and exquisite rigging, is among the very best on our planet!

Hey Nick, I can’t see it in any of the other comments so I just had to congratulate you on, besides your obvious craftsmanship, how it particularly tickled me how you took the time to edit the video and soundtrack to it so that the staples fired and the tape ripped to the beat of the lovely music you added - Nice touch. Lovely stuff 😉🙌

I’ve always wanted to build one of these. I used to own your book and I don’t even kayak :) they just look so lovely and fun to build.

I love watching this creative endeavor. I have experimented with cutting strips, routing the cove and bead and building small test glue ups. I am still intimidated by the sheer length of time required and the risk of making some catastrophic error that would ruin all that work! I guess if you are not ready to climb mount everest then don't climb mount everest. I will get there eventually! still trying to find long lengths of cedar to avoid having to join smaller lengths. Perhaps you address that in one or more of your vids!

Where can I get info on the tool you were using at 22:17 (long board?)? I could use that on my current (and first) kayak build, especially with the vacuum attached.

Thank you for creating this beautiful and informative video. Can you tell us about the plane you're using and it's purpose at 4:06 minutes in the video ?
