I greatly appreciate this type of content. I believe it is an excellent starting point. Observing the tone in the Chinese language clearly aligns with her head movements, which are executed perfectly. Practice makes perfect. And with consistent practice, one can speak fluently without necessarily moving their head. This is merely a method to the learning of the Chinese language for beginners.

Whatever you do, DO NOT DO WHAT THIS GIRL IS SAYING!! you will continually be focused on pitch instead of throat position and even worse, you’ll end up with bobbing head syndrome!! Newbie Chinese learners start bobbing their head all over the place and then can’t stop! It’s ridiculous. Don’t even think about starting to do this and if you catch yourself doing this accidentally, stop.

This is only for Mandarin. Cantonese has 6 tones:

1: high level
2: medium rising
3: medium level
4: falling
5: low rising
6: low level
