I have driven Jimny on road & off road. Jimny is very much a passenger friendly car . Thar is not at all a highway car. It bounces and pitches. Jimny is definitely a better all rounder. The feeling that our car is capable on any roads with comfort tilts the balance towards Jimny in a bigway. Change of tyre is a must.

If Jimny got more Horsepower and torque, about 160Hp and 300Nm torque and that too in petrol, because sadly diesel engines are dying out in India, Jimny could’ve had the crown for being the best offroader in the whole world.

On other channels in foreign markets, 3 door Jimny almost went neck on neck with likes of Wrangler and G-Wagon.

Jimny looked way better and much more fun to drive on plains with mild mud, but once it encounters a tough terrain its stuck. Thar is a way better off roader, but Jimny is a better all rounder.
