So-called "Meg Ryan" isn't her real name She was born Margaret Mary Emily Anne Hyra. Obviously her actual name is unnecessarily lengthy. More than likely, she was pressured by greedy & shallow agents/managers to sell-out her birth name to 'Hollywood' and with anticipated or perceived greater recognition and monetary gain? Other than when a women gets married, there's no reason whatsoever for a person to change the name given to them at birth. Some things are better left alone. Ms Hyra is a good actress, very attractive, and should've kept her original name.
