Usually, when I mess up the classic force (which is like 50% of the time 😂), I go into an impromptu trick. After that I try again. Thanks for the video Alex! Love the content 🔥🔥🔥

I make the force card become a key card when I miss the force. I tell the spectator to take their chosen card and while they're looking at it, I separate the deck where my break is(remembering where the key card is), then have them place the card back, and then place the other half of the deck on top. Their chosen card should be next to the key card. You can do an overhand shuffle after if you like and the cards should still be next to each other.

I started praticing classic force with a trick where you need to force a duplicate. The duplicates are both together so it gives a better chance of success. I also do the adjustment if the spectator chose one card before the one i want. So it's a 3 cards chance of success i would say. And i still can go with another trick or find a way to repeat the force as mentioned in the end of the video :)
Also i would say one should use a classic force even when not needed, just for practice purpose.

I personally avoid the classic force precisely because there's always a chance of failure, even for a practitioner at your high skill level. But I also dislike the laziness of riffle and dribble forces. I prefer the participant to have a genuine free choice, but then use one of various methods to show them a different card. One method I use is similar in principle to one of your "adjustments" here, the only difference being I actually aimed for failure, knowing I would swap out the selection.

Great tutorial vid, as always!

Thank you!I have just started using the classic force and I learned from your other tutorial and I didn't know what to do if I mess up so after this video I don't think I'm gonna mess up thank you!!!

If your first force doesn't take, you could say something like "Okay, but would you like to change your mind?" or" would you like one more or one less?Even if they say "No" you could make a face or a joke as if they're making it harder for you, and go on to a different force or a failed ambitious card with a double lift to give them the forced card and pull off an impressive switch...(I am not in any way a performing magician so probably don't know what I'm talking about, but sometimes options like this would, I imagine help in a performance situation) Love your work, Alex, so keep them coming!

another thing that kind of gives you a better chance of getting the force if they pick the card next to the force is hold the two out and say "left or right": from here, they either pick the force, or you hand them the force anyways with the logic that you gave them the card on your left or right. now they are a lot less likely to say oh no I meant the card on my right not your right, and if they do, then you can start over.

Really helpful tips! This will help me no end if the spectator misses my Force Card by a few cards. You could maybe have a Duplicate Card next to your Force so would give you an extra chance of hitting the Force. Also if the routine allowed for the Suit to be eliminated and was only after a value of card you could have all four values next to each other and have plenty of room to even do an adjustment if needed. But that's only if the suit didn't matter. 👐♣️♥️♠️♦️

I think a good tip is if they pick a card 3 or 4 cards away from the force card, you can outjog it and put it on top of the force card while you say, "This card?" Then you can perform the double lift and go on with your trick.
