Went toChina in 2004 and went over the Jingpeng Pass on the footplate of a QJ double headed freight, visited collieries and
towns where steam still carried people to work, just like the Uk in the 1950 s . Really glad I went . The Chinese are good workers .

Diese Maschinen habe ich schon oft in Büchern gesehen, zum ersten mal das ich darüber ein Video finde und ich bin fasziniert. Große Klasse diese Aufnahmen.

Schon lustig. Das war vor gerade mal ca. 30 Jahren. Inzwischen hat China 38.000 km Hochgeschwindigkeitsnetz und das Drittweltland Deutschland - in dem der erste ICE etwa zum Zeitpunkt der Entstehung dieses Videos fuhr und der Transrapid entwickelt wurde - um die 2.500 km. Applaus! Applaus!

So eine Maschine hab ich uin Nankin gesehen. Staunte nicht schlecht beim genauer hinschauen im Fuehrerstand. Eine Lokfuehrerin und sehr jung noch dazu. 🤗. Gelebte Gleichberechtigung. Es war ein Gueterzug.

Over 5000 copies of the Chinese QJ locomotive were built between 1954 and 1988. QJ stands for "Qian Jin", which translates as progress. The giant on rails is 26 m long with the tender and weighs over 152 tons. There were still a lot of QJ active in the 1990s. See for yourself. Here is more about steam giants:
