Custom skin and eye colours aren't often compatible with the game's genetics, so this is not a game oversight, it's the modders.

I don’t think it’s ENTIRELY the sims 4 fault, I think it’s mostly the cc messing up the games genetics..

The only way ive found to make realistic family members is to make their sibling with genetics and randomize twin and give them a slight difference like a different skin detail or different age, the genetics of the sims legit makes NO sense. Especially when you have cc

i mean, the kid mainly looks weird because you have mods. if you had normal skins on your sims, their child wouldnt have red skin. the game cant use your skin mods in the genetics.

that's craaaazy my genetics are always spot on. It even chooses skin details close to the skin details on the parents

i use the MCCC or maybe Wicked settings for offspring having physical likeness to their parents, i upped that percentage like crazy and just remove the wild accessories

I guess your sim has a skin mod on and red real skin under so that’s why the kid is red😂
