For a second time in three months, India has abstained from a U.N. vote on Uighurs. It happened on the same day when China called India's Kashmir decision 'unlawful and void'. Why is India shying from taking a stand against China?

India is playing long term game.. First we should focus on economy and see the reality, don't act like Pakistani, .. After 15-20 years Indian economy will more than half of Chinese economy then we Will shift our plan..

Good job.We don't need to Poke the dragon to please the West.China is very strong currently and it needs to be acknowledged and respected. So dont cry if they vote against us.They are strong, they can and that's they are.The onus is on us to become strong so that we cant be neglected. No need to escalate the tension. We will be the one standing on the fire line.

Its really not in China's interest to lock horns on Kashmir, and neither is it in India's interest to confront about Uighurs. In fact the underlying problem in both cases is the same, related to extremist Islam. China is demonstrating a lack of consistent policy, which indicates weakness. Whereas India is consistent in its approach, including that of not interfering in Uighur issues, which indicates strength. It will be China who will have to climb down sooner or later.

The Uyghurs and Tibet are the final cards. If you use them early, you have nothing left.

Ladakh is Tibetan territory under McMahon Line which India is using as the de facto border between China and India. Therefore China has a stake in Jammu and Kashmir. Does India has a claim to China's Uyghur Autonomous Region?

If we Indians don't even respect ourselves do you think the Chinese would? We have to stand up to the Chinese or else they would treat us as one those countries they trapped with their debts

Indian policy is not to interfere in others internal matter, it is clear from 1972

India already did what was in its interest, that is abrogate article 370. All China could do is protest. Why provoke them again by supporting a resolution which carries no value.

In my opinion,
this is part of Modi 2.0 game where you don't see the result instantly but for sure it's gonna pay him in the long run, fresh example is article 370. After all, in dirty politicis China, US are one of the best, but when it comes to playing intelligent diplomacy, India has always been the best player and will remain.
So, we only need some patience and think positive.

When will India's importers and citizens do something e.g. boycott China's goods? Why must the Government do everything?
