QRP Guys antenna, I purchased the 4:1 Balun Kit from GRP Guys,
I Created a 66 foot dipole out of 24 AWG wire, took the antenna to a park to test it out.
My thoughts about this antenna are my own and I purchased the antenna with my own money.

Have you built anything from qrpguys.com ?

Were you feeding the antenna from the middle or off to the side of the wire? Center fed antennas use a 1:1 balun usually, and type of off center fed antennas can use 4:1 to match. This may explain the SWR readings.

The 4:1 transformer resolves a 200 ohm impedance. That is encountered in off center fed dipoles. You should be able to use it without a tuner if you use appropriate leg lengths. Also efficiency is important for QRP. Tune the antenna by adjusting then leg lengths

I didn't build it but I have their Portable 40/30/20 vertical antenna. I've only used it a time or two but it seemed to work OK. Thanks for the good video! 73, K8JLW
