Incredible how many times I heard this song growing up the past 40yrs and not until recently that it's hit me just how great it is, so much so that it's pretty much all I listen to when I drive now. I even sing along word for word at this point. There's just 1 thing... I don't believe it's meant to say 'Cross-Tie walkers' because 'Cross-Town' sounds more appropriate and that's what I sing but if that's what Fogerty meant.. that's his problem. ;)
