Here I cover why the empty or null set (∅) is not a vector space and why it fails the additive identity. #linearalgebra #emptyset #nullset #maths #mathematics #settheory

The empty set does not contain any elements, therefore it does not contain a zero vector. However the singleton of a zero vector is trivially a 0-dimensional vector space over any field.

Would the set {0} then be considered a vector space? I know very little to nothing about linear algebra/set theory
