To suggest that the holocaust is more 'unique' or saddening than the Congolese atrocities by Belgium or the trans-atlantic slave trade is just ridiculous.

How exactly do you lay a genocide "to rest"? The millions of descendants are still alive. They're going to know their own family's history and they're going to talk about it whether we want to hear it or not. Same with the Transatlantic Slave Trade, they're going to talk about it because the anger is renewed with each new generation. How can you be angry at people for discovering the lives of their ancestors and being horrified??

Hey I'm elderly so I'm easily confused but I'm hearing all these jewish people going on about how the Germans tried to exterminate their race.... how about the poor Amelikites (dash the baby's heads against the stone wall).... Like I said - I'm easily confused....

Yep. My deepest sympathy for the dead, but there's no one alive who lived it anymore. It's a black page in our history but it's history none the less.

in israel we see jews differently, like a race. even if you dont belive in god you are still considered a jew.we dont seperate being jew from judaism. meaning you can join i guess be people wont see you as a real jew, just someone who joing the religion. and if your jew but dont practice the relegion youre still considered jew. to immigrate t israel you need to prove and have papers that prove youre jew or parents or someone from the jew, the same if you want to get married in israel.
