In order to run the Pony Motor for anything but a very short time without coolant, the cooling system needed to be closed up. Running the main engine without coolant was not an option. The fuel filter tower has a fitting that allows engine coolant to heat it. It needed installation after the fuel filter was installed. The lower radiator elbow is where the drain plug resides. It was hopelessly stuck. It and the elbow were replaced.

good one...…...the fuel housing is heated so the fuel don't wax up in the cold up here in Nova Scotia...….

Why use those cheap ass grade 5 low head bolts that you cant keep a wrench Cat used grade 8.
