Why an Antique Toothbrush Holder is worth more than 1500 Toothbrushes!

Admittedly quite cheap toothbrushes, but never the less, it’s interesting what people use as toothbrush holders! David Elstob and I found this mug at a WI Antiques Valuation event. The owner had no idea how old it is. Take a look at this creamware mug, which is over 200 years old and with a lovely verse printed on the side

The ladies all came out to see the young hunks assessing junque. I've run into pieces with writing before, but they weren't exported often. If it were my beer mug I'm reduced to ginger beer these days, alas, but since it's cracked toothbrushes is a good use for it. Keeps it out of the landfill.
