Jasmine, are you serious right now? I live in Texas, and using an 'open carry' argument in an attempted assassination on a political figure is ridiculous. I can't carry a gun at a Beyoncé concert, let alone at an airport or political event. This is a gross misrepresentation of the issues at hand. On one hand, you say everyone is blaming Cheatle. On the other hand, you play the political blame game for your own agenda by blaming the opposite party. This is neither the time nor the place for that. Many American citizens are tired of it. From one Black woman to another: how embarrassing.

As a woman who earned my PhD while a poor single mother, I find DEI insulting. I *earned* my place.

And lowering the bar for women just means the women who obtain those positions make women in general appear inferior. Because their abilities *are* inferior for those roles, and they shouldn't be chosen above anyone else due to characteristics irrelevant for job performance.

Especially in any field where lives are on the line.

If she is the director of the secret service, I don't want to WORK for the secret service, or the FBI department.

What is this lady talking about? Nothing she's saying has anything to do with this shooting...

If the Uvalde or Trump shooters were already disregarding the law against murder, why does Rep. Crockett think they would have followed laws restricting open carry or age limits on guns?

How did she manage to have a worse five minutes than AOC?

So Ms. Crockett turned this political. Typical. Also there was no grilling her lol.

An out of her depth DEI Member of Congress asking a DEI hire that specialises in DEI hires, whether DEI was responsible - and the answer

Jasmine basically tried to take the heat off of her. Shameful…

I always thought DEI stood for Dale Earnhardt Inc. No lie. These people pushing this are truly sick in the head.

She has a valid point. There is a white man on the roof pointing a rifle and law enforcement sees no threat.

Ask a question, Ms. C--for heaven's sake, this isn't a PULPIT! Stop wasting our time.

This congresswoman is full of nonsense, more concerned about DEI not being the reason, and establishing that the reason they didn't perceive the shooter as a threat is because he was White. She's more concerned about the shooter's level of "melanin". Give me a break. She makes the point that this was an "open carry" space. Implication that it's a gun control issue, making it all about politics.

"We don't want to keep pointing the finger."
Yet that's what she's doing.
And she's pointing it at all the wrong places.

She's talking about "permitless carry in the state of Texas", which has ZERO relevance to what happened in Pennsylvania. She's just grandstanding and wasting everyone's time.

"Political violence blah blah blah"
That PC jive again. It's called CRIME, MURDER, and ASSASSINATION. The PC terms "political violence" & "gun violence" obfuscate and deflect the real issues.

After 4 minutes and 52 seconds (she's only supposed to have 5 minutes), she finally asks her first completely non-contextual question which oddly doesn't follow anything she's rambled on about for nearly 5 minutes, after making this about politics and blaming congress & Texas politicians for not passing gun laws, and engaging in violent rhetoric:

"Have you heard about conspiracy theories?"

"Yes."

(paraphrase) "Not answering questions only fuels conspiracy theories, rancor, and retaliation."

Finally, a salient point, after she's gone way over her time limit.

I've watched nearly the entire thing, I have a few more to go, and it's all been informative & riveting....

But Jasmine Crockett was nearly 6 minutes I'll never get back.
