In this video I walk you through a complete past examination paper from Edexcel. Try a question first, then play it through. Please skip through the paper, you don't have to watch it all the way through. I shall add annotations to links to videos, explaining the topics in a bit more detail.
Hope you do well...please subscribe...

For ques 12, the answer can be worked out very simply. It is a huge alternate angle

Thanks for posting. Very informative. I'm watching this as a prospective teacher and getting used to speaking aloud and explaining maths, i.e. not just being able to do it and go through the process in my head. Your videos are very useful. Thank you.
Number 17. I did it another way which worked better for me.
Angle BCD =108 {from internal angles of a polygon}, Angle ABC is also 108.
From isoceles triangle ABC, Angle ACB=36.
Angle ACD = Angle BCD- Angle ACB = 108-36=72.
Angle DCF= 90-Angle ACD = 90-72 = 18.

Hey there...Alan!! I'm just sitting in coffee shop busting my way thru paper with you. I'm doing well, so far. Just done the pencils n pens Q. I managed to get an A in my new years mock. I'd dearly love the same from the two combined real exams in May n June. Obv I messed around lots at school; and need this towards my step onto a degree next year. Thanks again for making this upload for us budding students

Q23: the height of the cone is 4 meters = 4/3m as if it were a cylinder. then 4/3+2 = 10/3meters in 5 hours. X meters (the rest of the cylinder): (10/3)/5 = X/4 (constant rate)-> X = 8/3m.. 2m + 8/3m [2&2/3m] = 14/3 = 4&2/3m
Because there's the constant rate one can reshape the cone into a cylinder to solve it.

This is so good, I'm doing retake so we have to do all the work in one year and we have one 3hour lesson a week. My exam is in June so have started revising now and finding this very helpful. Only if my teacher could take this much time and explain it to us...not her fault tho Sh needs to get thru curriculum

Hi, Thanks for uploading these videos. I found question 15 a bit complicated the way you have done it. I think pupils may find it easier to use Square and Pentagon properties rather than thinking of alternate angles. The way I would do is, I would use the sum of interior angles (540) to find the size of each interior angle (108). use the isosceles triangle ABC to find the two base angles on A and C each 36. it will give me <ACD= 72 (108-36). Then I will find the angle DCF by taking away 72 from 90 (square) and this will give me 18. I am not criticising on your method because I am finding your videos very very helpful in many ways. It was just a suggestion. Hope you do not mind.
Thanks

On question 12, I thought the answer was 50 as you have 180 in a triangle and we already knew one of them, I know I'm wrong but an explanation would help:D thanks keep up good work

At 2:01:53, you can't leave it at 42/9, as it says give the fraction in its simplest form. But thanks anyway for the answer! I couldn't do this question in the exam, and I've never seen the solution before, so thanks for showing me how to work it out.

For the people that need help with a particular question, rather than an entire paper, you should try and include timestamps of the various questions in the description. Great video though.
