Geodes have a hollow space inside, which is what allows the crystals to form. You can also shake the rock next to your ear to test whether it is hollow. You may hear small pieces of rock or crystal rattling around inside if it is hollow. 🤟🏽

I found a quartz geode in the road...it was only an inch and a half...but a close up pic showed some rainbow quartz...👍

I live in Texas and have a round rock used as a match striker for tge wood stove for years. The business man here has three of them like it he had X-ray them and they say they were dinosaur eggs. I didn’t X-ray mine but the guy working for him said he thought it looks the same.
