Rheinmetall’s 35mm x 228 Oerlikon Ahead airburst ammunition inside. How it works. Russian shock in a battlefield.
My next video will be about VMG fuze for grenades.

I am currently raising funds for a 3D printer "Flashforge creator 4" to make mock-ups of parts and I will be glad for your help:

It was interesting how it works. Never thought that this thing is so complicated.

didn't know a bullet can get this SMART

Next gen flak from Rheinmetall for the Luftwaffe

Imagine Rheinmetall made an 88mm flak cannon with AHEAD technology, with modern computers and radar, lets see a TU160 Blackjack get past that at medium altitude

Amazing how 80 years ago this was done with an optical rangefinder, a spanner and a four-man crew.

Nice make a new video how works an air gun (pump action)

Its cool, but each round would be very expensive and hard to produce, and considering how fast the 35mm cannnon fires, it will cost thousands just to fire it for 1 second

Why use programmable time-fused ammunition when proximity-fused ammunition can be used with simpler system?

It´s cool. And if you need a test pilot for the target plane I would be more than happy to offer my mother-in-law for this task. Science requires sacrifice from time to time...

What velocity increase is there in the sub-munitions compared to the main round? It's a tiny charge that projects the sub-munitions out the front of the shell.

I ask, because I'm intrigued by just what the energy of these sub-munitions are at different ranges.

I've seen an online chart that suggests the velocity of the main round at maximum range (3500m) is only about 1500 fps. If sub-munitions are projected out the front of that round, what velocity would they be travelling at when they hit the target?

I'd also expect the ballistically inefficient sub-munitions (little cylinders) would slow down pretty quickly (at low, supersonic velocities) after leaving the main round. So, once they've spread out a bit, I'd imagine they'd have slowed down quite noticeably.

It looks to me like, at maximum range, the sub-munitions at point of impact would be little more than 22lr rimfire rounds, in terms of energy.

At closer ranges, they may be more like 5.56mm Nato would be a big increase in lethality as the target gets closer.

Just curious.

what makes the safety ring detach from the rotor on these fuzes?

ВОТ!!! Именно про это я и размышлял! Всё думал, НУ ПОЧЕМУ КАРТЕЧЬ НЕ ИСПОЛЬЗУЮТ в борьбе с дронами!? Ну слава тестикулам, додумались ребята.
