Union Pacific Train on Porubsky's Curve in Topeka, KS, on 4/29/21

Porubsky's curve is one of the best places in Topeka to watch trains! Located off of Sardou Avenue in the north part of the city, it has a parking lot right by the curve east of the Union Pacific yard in town. There are several sidings for a grain elevator where hopper cars are stored, and there is also a bridge over which Union Pacific and BNSF can exchange cars. The best time to watch is in the morning, as the lighting is perfect for photos. Here's a mixed freight rounding the bend, with UP 7206, UP 6920, and UP 6304 leading the way. Also, watch for UP 8483 helping out in the middle at 2:58 !
