Garissa College marks first anniversary since it was attacked by AL shabaab militia last year

Today it is exactly one year since that shocking terror attack in Kenya’s Garissa County on students of the Garissa University College. 147 people died that Thursday morning. To mark the anniversary, participants held a commemorative 5km marathon followed by interdenominational prayers which are still going on now. Ktn’s Timothy Otieno spoke to national assembly majority leader and area MP Aden Duale who says terrorists will not succeed in dividing Kenyans along religious lines.
