I noticed that any time Oda introduces a legendary character known for being one of the strongest like Shanks or Garp, he usually waits towards the end of the story to show their true power like he did with Shanks and Garp and I’m sure when he finally shows Mihawk’s true power, not just flinging his blade at Marineford, it will be wayyy more than a lot of us are assuming. When Oda introduces a powerful character in the beginning, but we don’t see their true power til later, we can know they’re the real deal.
