I am actually so obsessed with that dress- you for sure got the pinterest look. This is making me want "borrow" my moms sewing machine

There is a hand sewn sort of zig zag stitch you can do along the edge of the back arm hole that you pull snugly to tighten it up. It does not cause as much puckering or gathering as a straight stitch, but just eases the area in more snugly. If you sew the dress again, do a couple rows of long gathering stitches on your machine and pull snug enough to ease the back arm hole to fit more snugly with out puckering. Works great.

I love all of the knitting and sewing projects you’ve both shared here. I too have been hit by the bag making bug but I saw a bag on Pinterest that I just fell in love with that was crocheted and decided to crochet instead. I’ve made 4 bags the past 2 weeks! HAHA 🤣 I was just shocked at how much faster crochet is than knitting and that’s with me not really being a crocheter. I’m currently knitting up a Party of 8 tee with a cotton/cashmere yarn and am so excited to have it added to my wardrobe. I also have my 4th Anker Tee on the needles and am loving wearing them. I really need to get some summer dresses lined up to sew for when I get back home. (Currently visiting my mom for a month) Both of the dresses you shared Rachael are just fantastic! I’m going to check both of them out. Thanks again for sharing. ❤

I am working on a Sabai top. My first garment! Thanks for your inspiring knitting! I really enjoy your conversation. All the best!

I just finished knitting the French market bag in the japanskt bomulld (Japanese cotton) and petite knit has a tutorial on how to make one strand into 3 by pulling the yarn through a loop. It sounds weird and it doesn’t seem like it should work but I promise it does and it made it a much more pleasant knitting experience than I think having 3 tangled balls of the yarn would be! I hope that helps and that you enjoy the project :) I certainly had a lot of fun knitting with such a unique yarn

Love the bright blue. I get very drawn to that colour to go with my white items. Look forward to seeing you next time. 😊

Per your recommendations I went to Unwind and Yarn Social when we were in KC. Unwind was really cool and I bought some of the Dawn Barker pooling yarn. I mentioned that you had recommended their shop. Yarn social was in a quaint neighborhood. I bought some small tools there. My rule is that if you visit a yarn store you must always buy something!

I’m in the same boat with sock and bag knitting. The socks I’m knitting now are Petty Harbour by First Light Handcrafts which is a free pattern on Ravelry and I’m knitting them in a dark sky blue from Lang Jawoll which includes a spool of reinforcement yarn in the center of the skein. First time knitting the heel and toes with it and I really like it. The market bag pattern that I have knitted is the Let’s Go Shopping-Market bag also free on Ravelry. I love it and works well for the farmers market. Now I want to try the ruffle socks!!! Happy Knitting, girls❤❤❤

Love all the makes - sewing and knitting. Thanks for the inspiration. The Grace sweater is lovely - i wouldnt do the purl round either. Just dont love that look. I am knitting the Poppy Tee by Petite Knit at the moment and it has that just below the collar and I wont be doing that for this top. Personal preference, of course, but i think it looks cleaner without it. It's nice to be able to modify things as we please. Thanks again. :)

Thanks for sharing your beautiful makes. Love a good summer bag. I tend to crochet mine rather than knit because it’s sturdier fabric and makes up so much quicker. I am currently working on a Feels Right Tee by Lily Kate Makes in silk. Great pattern if you are looking for a neatly tailored tee. It’s turning out lovely 🤗

Thanks girls for sharing your makes. I currently have several summer knits on the needles even though we are heading into winter here in Australia. I have also knit the sabai top in a little brown and I’m working through a second one in blue. The Sabai top in a great little staple piece for the wardrobe and I think it will be suitable for all seasons.

I suggest a headlamp to knit darker colors at night. There are also special knitting lamps to wear around the neck. But headlamps are more versatile.

I love watching your podcast while breastfeeding my baby and knitting garments for him, mostly petitknit sweaters. And I'm a little jealous of your access to Coast to coast yarn. I've been looking everywhere for an indie dyer like Coast to coast here in the Netherlands but haven't found one yet. If someone knows one, please let me know 💖 I absolutely love your podcast, it's so unique and inspiring ✨🤗

My style preferences are very similar to yours, so I'm always inspired by what you make. I can't wait until the Tykva Top pattern comes out so I can knit one - those high neck tank tops are my favorite!

I'm finishing up a Friday Tee by Petite Knit, after which I'll allow myself to cast on the Book Club Cardigan by Sari Nordlund and mayyybe the May Camisole by Creadia Studio. So excited!

I would love to see you ladies make a video sometime talking about your most worn knits over the years. Thanks for your podcast - it's one of my favorites on the Internet!
