Let’s look at triage, it’s definition, and give a few military and medical examples. Then we will discuss ways we can all benefit from applying triage to our careers and personal lives.

I think everyone should practice this and stop trying to multi-task 👍

This is why I triage this channel as IMMEDIATE. Good stuff.

The priority should be the people next to you and this goes for almost everything because it’ll show character and genuine care. I would like a video in the future on toxic leadership and what are some things you can do while under it.

As a college student who habitually takes on too much coursework (while working full time and having a kid) I have been living in state of triage for years. It's a good bit of advice I've given out.

Triage as i have understood it is from the WWI triage definition as refusing help unto death, a giving up hope. i speak from a psychological perspective called impasse's and difficult people. i have studied it. however i do like your definition here. i had a recent experience in the hospital due to my arm needing medical attention. and yes i was perfectly fine with waiting and in fact due to my medical condition i needed sleep. however, i have triaged my entire medical issues to where i am receiving no medical treatment and my medical issues are mounting. it is though if i do not die of i will die of because of generalized neglect. i understand the prioritization, however other things are happening that i cannot go into here. i have had to implement positive psychology regardless.

I get it. IOW when you are young and on the way up don’t waste valuable time in lengthy communications with others who are not personal, or who are not on your professional path to advancement. Ruthless business: triage of this sort. The problem is as you get older the personal and professional friends die off and you have to seek new contacts or attempt to regain contact with those you triaged out in years past.

People mostly know which catagory they are in, when you get smashed good you do not feel much pain, for a while. If you can you need to use what time you have to extend your life expectancy by stopping leaks etc.

Some perceived “friendships” are toxic.

I feel like emergency rooms seem to categorize “less priority” with “low priority” when it comes to dealing with the injuries of patients. Though they’re good at identifying which problems need to be dealt with immediately, I have personally experienced and have herd many stories of where people with quite severe bone breaks, dislocations or even paralysis have had to wait in the ER for people who Maybe have a cough. Sure, they may not be dying, but they are in a lot more pain than some random family getting their flu shot.

Just as the Pareto principle states, 80% of the output is determined by 20% of the input

This is also the very foundation of capitalism. Triage is short for efficient and effective resource allocation.
