Cyclohexanone: Organic synthesis

Hello friends , in this video we will be synthesising cyclohexanone by the oxidation of cyclohexanol , using sodium dichromate

chemicals required
12.5g cyclohexanol
25.5g sodium dichromate
22g (12ml) 97% Sulfuric acid
~50ml diethyl ether

reaction involve the oxidation of aliphatic alcohol to aliphatic ketone using sodium dichromate.

The synthesis is adapted from the Vogels textbook of practical organic chemistry
