What is it?
I adore the UKMT Maths Challenges. I used to love doing them as a student (a few gold certificates -- but never an Olympiad round, unfortunately), and now I am a teacher they are one of my favourite sources of engaging challenges for students. Here you will find a beautifully presented selection of questions and answers from the Junior Maths Challenge that can be used straight away in the classroom.

How can it be used?
These are really useful to have up your sleeve as extension work if any of the students in your class finish a particular task and you don't want to move them on to the next thing until everyone else is ready. Likewise, if you ever get to the end of a lesson and realise there is actually 10 minutes left to the bell, then projecting one of these up on the board will keep your students going. In addition, as a group problem solving lesson, with students moving around in a carousel taking each problem on for a set time, there are few better resources around. A wonderful set of questions that will stimulate the minds of students of all ages and abilities.

Thank you for sharing!
