Such a beautiful song from Francoise, delivered with such wonderful charm only the French language delivers. The emotions with the gentle accompaniment are displayed perfectly along with her attractive vocals. So beautiful. Great reaction Handsome Harri ❤❤, Your French accent is lovely.

She was really really big back then, for sure. I certainly remember her name, if not her work. Fantastic singer and a very pretty song. Many thanks to Richard and Harri for the request & reaction.

She was a superstar back then, even in England or english-speaking countries. Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger and David Bowie were enamored ; the police had to disperse her thousands of excited fans in front of the concert venue in Johannesburg, she acted in movies with the like of Peter Sellers, Peter O’Toole, Romy Schneider, James Garner, …
She is part of the top 200 list published by Rolling stones recently.

She was an incredible songwriter but very shy. She didn’t like to perform on stage and stopped it very quickly.
But she created beautiful melancholic, romantic and deep lyrics and melodies.

She was also seen as the queen of elegance and became a fashion superstar, promoted by the greatests fashion designers (Paco Rabanne, Yves Saint Laurent, …).

Sadly Françoise died 3 months ago. She had a great influence on many vocalists and songwriters in different countries and I wanted to propose this beautiful song as a tribute to her.

I discovered Francoise in 1983, her album "Star". It's been a favorite on my "playlist" ever since. I suggest "Drôle de fête."

She passed away this June aged eighty, She had had cancer for almost twenty years.

Francoise Hardy died weeks recently. She was so pretty when she was young and she got a soft, lovely nearly fragile voice.

Kind of bizarre to find this here now. I woke up with "Tous les garçon et les filles" in my head today but without knowing the name of the song and had to track it down. I would recommend that but of course "Voila" by her is amazing.
