It is not a small thing to speak of YHWH as THE All Consuming Fire. I have become convinced that this reference to the all consuming fire is the annihilation of the soul (men destroyed once and for all). See Deuteronomy 9 and come to know the fear of YHWH. He consumes the adversaries who reject His holy law and commandments. The flame is NOT a flame of love, but of wrath to destroy the evil doer. Do not rejoice, but fear and repent of all evil. If He did not spare the evil doers before Christ, He will certainly not spare those who trample on the covenant by breaking His holy law now that Christ came to lay down His life to set you free from sin to walk in His law and righteousness.

Know therefore today that it is the Lord your God who is crossing over before you as a consuming fire. 👉He will destroy them👈 and He will subdue them before you, so that you may drive them out and destroy them quickly, just as the Lord has spoken to you. “Do not say in your heart when the Lord your God has driven them out before you, ‘Because of my righteousness the Lord has brought me in to possess this land, ’ but it is because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord is dispossessing them before you.

Let Me alone, that I may destroy them (God's own ppl who rebelled against Him) and blot out their name from under heaven; and I will make of you a nation mightier and greater than they.’
