If you are turning 26 and still on your parent’s health insurance plan, first of all, happy birthday! And secondly, congratulations! You can now purchase your very own health insurance. In fact, once you turn 26, your parents can no longer cover you under their health plan.

During a special enrollment period, you may still qualify for help paying for health insurance. Be aware that you only have 60 days to purchase coverage after your 26th birthday. Know your options and be proactive in purchasing coverage or you may go without insurance for the remainder of the year.

I just turned 26, i'm a 1099 employee and i'm completely lost... Do I qualify for Free care? What do I have to pay? where do I go lol???? This is such a joke.... School has failed our system, i'm a bright ass individual and i'm completely lost on where to go, and I don't want to be scammed for my needs. I go to the doctor rarely, as i'm fairly healthy. as;ldkfjsadldkfjasdlk;fj the system sucks.
