I have both programs and my Deep PrimeXD has Soft, Standard, Strong and Hard settings - so how did you process some of your files at 50% with XD?
I have also found that they both do odd things to faces/skin at images taken at higher ISOs - I take .CR3 RAW images - such as 12800, but its a small price to pay as opposed to no useful image at all.
