The fifth season of The Chosen will focus on Jesus' life and passion, focusing on the last week of his life in Jerusalem. The film will feature a behind-the-scenes look at the temple and its evil, with Jonathan acting as Jesus in the midst. The cast reenacted the stories as actors, with most lines written by Jonathan. The filming process involved discussions between Pilate, Herod, and Caiaphas, and Jude, one of the twelve disciples, betraying Jesus. The release is expected in February or March 2025.

The Transfiguration should have been included in the show. I understand that the Transfiguration shows the place that Jesus holds in our understanding of Faith. It is a great series, well acted and presented on screen.

I agree that the Transfiguration should have been included in the Chosen. This major event reveals Jesus’s role as the Christ, only Son of the Father, and promised Messiah to the leaders of the Apostles. God, the Father, once more voices the fact that Jesus is His Son. This essential miracle links Jesus with the Old Testament and anchors His Authority in Jerusalem to reveal His Identity to the authorities.

Maybe there are those who prefer that convention, but I for one, do not, especially with the sacred subject being portrayed. Please just use real true human voices.
