Why no consequences for this hackers? Why they didn’t get lock up yet. People work hard for their money and these hackers just stole it within minutes!

The first lesson taught to people wishing to enter a career in media is this: Everyone is stupid except for me. This is the basis for educating everyone around me; each person equally stupid as the next and last. Every media educator in the world will verify this. It is universal.

A lesson to be learned do not have your bank account on your cell phone do not …you can always access your bank account in another way …you are in charge of your own security…lean to use you finger print as security…PIN numbers can be hacked too …the finger print is unique to you …learn how to use it …

Why are people storing financial information on their cell phones? That’s plain stupid! Excellent story.

Sometimes bad actors work for cell carriers, that's why I pay the bill online myself rather than Physical in store- Because I don't trust giving my personal information to some random high school student behind the counter.
During those rare times when I change cell carriers for a better deal- I always change my phone number through my online account when I get home because I don't want to run the risk of being sim swapped by them.

With the newer/higher end phones it's optional use a SIM - they have an "eSIM" which is builtin to the phones. I know iPhone 13 as one example I have personally helped someone switch to. Just call tech support with your cell provider and tell them you want to use only the eSIM. Then break the SIM with plyers, throw it away, and you're safe from this scam no matter what. Or Google on how to add the SIM pin if you don't have one. (The default pin is 0000 with Androids apparently, which is needed to set your pin.)

Here's an idea ... don't use your phone for banking and don't link it to your personal computer.

i already have mentioned so many times how new phones need to be designed, i already have done some in my book but more are in my mind, today your life is completely at mercy of online life and it has not being made safe secure.. yet.. i have done some real ideas thinking and it goes to only the ones with integrity to be made into all gadgets.

If you get calls from you own number close your account. Change service provider & ffw you new sim number to Google voice. Block you own number from calling your sim number from calling your phone. Change your sim voice mall message to you Google voice number. Never use wifi. Android users also block auto updates where you live and work.
